Sai Sudharsan debuts at No.3, Receives cap from Pujara!

A proud moment for Tamil Nadu cricket as Sai Sudharsan makes his Test debut for India in the ongoing match against England. The young left-hander is expected to bat at the crucial No.3 position - a spot long held by Cheteshwar Pujara, who fittingly handed Sudharsan his debut cap in an emotional pre-match ceremony.

The gesture from Pujara, a modern-day legend of Indian Test cricket, marked a symbolic passing of the torch. Sudharsan, known for his elegant strokeplay and calm temperament, has impressed in domestic cricket and India A tours, earning his place in a team currently undergoing a generational shift under new captain Shubman Gill.

With big shoes to fill and high expectations riding on him, all eyes are now on Sudharsan as he prepares to face the challenge of English conditions. His debut not only represents a personal milestone but also signals the arrival of a new era for India’s Test batting lineup.
