Mixue Ice Cream & Tea (Mixue Bingcheng), a Chinese dessert and beverage chain, has officially overtaken giants like McDonald’s and Starbucks in terms of global store count - operating more than 45,000 locations worldwide. Known for its ultra-affordable menu - soft-serve ice cream, bubble tea, fruit teas, and drink add-ons many Mixue items in Asia cost less than $1. 

After decades of expansion in China and across countries in Southeast Asia, Mixue is set to make its U.S. debut. Its first American store will open at 266 Canal Street, Tribeca, New York City. The move marks a major step in the brand’s global strategy, bringing its budget-friendly treats to a market known for high costs. While U.S. price details haven’t been announced yet, observers believe Mixue’s low-price model may reshape dessert and tea expectations in the city.
