Key Entrance Exams you need to know before applying to Universities abroad!

For Indian students eyeing overseas education, understanding which entrance exams are required is a crucial first step. According to a recent guide, two major types of exams dominate the landscape: language-proficiency tests and standardised aptitude or subject-based tests.

Language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL and PTE measure an applicant’s command of the medium of instruction. For undergraduate programs in countries like the US, UK and Canada, students are commonly required to submit scores from SAT or ACT. Postgraduate aspirants often need to clear exams like GRE or GMAT.

In addition, professional credentials such as US CPA, US CMA, US EA and UK ACCA are gaining recognition among international universities and employers.

Students preparing for international admission should therefore align their study efforts with their target program level, chosen country and professional aspirations - matching the right exam to the right journey.
