The 2025 Char Dham Yatra has created history with a jaw-dropping 28 lakh devotees visiting the sacred shrines in just 45 days. Among these, over 10 lakh pilgrims have already made their way to Kedarnath Dham, one of Hinduism’s holiest pilgrimage sites.
Opened on May 10, Kedarnath has been witnessing a non-stop stream of worshippers braving long treks, high altitudes, and unpredictable weather to catch a glimpse of Lord Shiva’s shrine nestled in the Himalayas. The spiritual energy is palpable, with chants, prayers, and the sound of temple bells echoing across the mountains.
Despite the challenges, including crowd management and limited infrastructure, the Uttarakhand government has stepped up efforts to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage. Helicopter services, digital registrations, and medical facilities have been ramped up, though the sheer number of visitors has pushed systems to their limits.
With more pilgrims expected in the coming weeks, the Kedarnath Yatra continues to surge in both faith and footfall, making 2025 one of the busiest seasons in recent memory.
