The power ministry Tuesday unveiled the ADEETIE scheme, a ₹1,000-crore initiative to help micro, small and medium enterprises adopt energy-efficient technologies. The program offers 5% interest subvention for micro and small enterprises, and 3% for medium enterprises on loans.
Covering 14 energy-intensive sectors including textiles, chemicals, food processing, and steel re-rolling, the scheme provides comprehensive support through energy audits, project reports, and post-implementation monitoring. It will be implemented over three years starting FY26, beginning with 60 industrial clusters in phase one, followed by 100 more.
Power Minister Manohar Lal emphasized the scheme's role in catalysing investments in cleaner technologies. The initiative is expected to trigger ₹9,000 crore in total investments, including ₹6,750 crore in MSME lending.
