Government Job: 394 IB Junior Officer Posts – Salary ₹81,100, Apply Now!

The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has announced 394 vacancies for the post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical (JIO-II/Tech). This is a great opportunity for candidates aspiring to join India’s central intelligence services.

Key Details:

  • Total Vacancies: 394

    • Unreserved (UR): 157

    • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 32

    • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 117

    • Scheduled Caste (SC): 60

    • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 28

  • Salary: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 (Level 4) + central government allowances

  • Age Limit: 18 – 27 years

    • Relaxation up to 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen as per MHA rules

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics) OR

    • Bachelor’s in Computer Applications from a recognized university

    • Diploma holders in Electronics, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields are also eligible

  • Note: Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are not eligible

How to Apply:

  1. Visit the official application portal: IB JIO Grade/Tech 2025 Application

  2. Click on "To Register" and enter your personal details.

  3. Verify your registration via OTP sent to your mobile.

  4. Fill in the application form carefully.

  5. Upload scanned copies of passport-size photograph and signature as per the instructions.

  6. Pay the application fee:

    • UR/OBC/EWS male candidates: ₹650

    • SC/ST, female, and Ex-servicemen candidates: ₹550

  7. Submit the application and download/print the form for future reference.

Application Deadline: September 14, 2025, 11:59 PM

Selection Process:

The recruitment involves a three-tier process:

  • Tier I: Online exam (100 marks, 2 hours)

    • 75% questions from the candidate’s subject

    • 25% questions on general mental ability

  • Tier II: Practical / skill test (30 marks)

  • Tier III: Personality test
