DUSU 2025: ABVP storms back with majority, NSUI left with one post!

In the 2025 Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election, ABVP has taken the lead in three major positions—President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary—while NSUI claimed the Vice-President’s seat.

Counting continued through 18–20 rounds, with more than 2.75 lakh eligible students casting ballots across 52 centres and 195 booths. Overall turnout stood at approximately 39.45%. Security was tight: the Delhi Police deployed over 600 personnel, 160 of them equipped with body cameras, monitored by drones and CCTV.

ABVP’s Aryan Maan took a strong lead early in the presidential race, followed closely by Kunal Chaudhary (Secretary) and Deepika Jha (Joint Secretary). NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla led the race for vice president.

The contest, between pro-establishment ABVP and Congress-aligned NSUI, continues to be viewed as a significant barometer of student political mood at Delhi University.
