Bomb scare at Bengaluru Bus stand: Explosives found near toilet!

A tense scene unfolded on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Bengaluru’s busy Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand after security personnel discovered a plastic bag containing six gelatin sticks and multiple detonators near a public toilet . The West Bengaluru DCP S. Girish confirmed that the area was immediately secured, and a bomb disposal unit was called in to neutralize any threat and conduct a sweep (The Economic Times).

Commuters were evacuated from the nearby platforms, and bus services were briefly suspended across the stand for safety checks. The incident sparked panic among daily passengers, prompting locals to question the effectiveness of security measures at such crowded transit points.

Authorities are continuing a full-fledged investigation to determine the origin of the bag, identify those responsible, and assess whether it was a deliberate threat or a case of misplaced explosives.
