850,000+ cars in the US recalled over critical defect! Which company's at stake?

Ford Motor is recalling 850,318 vehicles in the U.S. due to potential low-pressure fuel pump failure that could cause engine stalls, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Thursday. The faulty fuel pump can reduce fuel flow from tank to engine, increasing crash risk.

NHTSA received six consumer complaints alleging power loss due to pump failure. The recall affects certain Lincoln Aviator, F-150 trucks, and Mustang models, among others.

Warning signs include poor engine performance, misfiring, rough running, reduced power, or check engine lights. NHTSA estimates 10% of potentially affected vehicles have the defect. Ford is still developing a remedy for the safety issue.
