India’s oldest universities are not just historic—they are powerhouses shaping the country’s future. Senate of Serampore College (1818) is India’s oldest, founded by Christian missionaries. IIT Roorkee (1847), University of Calcutta, University of Madras, and Banaras Hindu University follow, offering courses from Engineering, Law, Medicine, Arts, Science, to Vocational programs.

Admissions: Mostly via national exams like CUET, JEE, CLAT, NEET, while some courses rely on merit-based evaluation.
