Indians are increasingly choosing Dubai over home, drawn by its mix of safety, opportunity, and quality of life. UAE’s Ambassador to India, Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, explained the growing trend in a conversation with Raj Shamani.

He recalled how during the pandemic, the UAE ensured fair vaccine access, seamless healthcare, and uninterrupted supply of essentials, making many Indians who once considered leaving decide to stay. “There was no discrimination. People felt safe and cared for,” he noted.

The UAE’s unified governance across emirates creates stability while supporting business growth, making it a magnet for professionals and entrepreneurs alike.

For many Indians, the city offers a “safe haven” a place where career ambitions meet lifestyle needs. Once they experience Dubai’s blend of global opportunities and everyday security, leaving becomes hard.
