Facing Ireland in Rajkot, Mandhana reached her century in just 70 balls, surpassing the previous record held by Harmanpreet Kaur, who achieved a century in 87 balls.
Mandhana's explosive innings of 135 runs off 80 balls featured 12 boundaries and seven sixes, propelling India to a formidable total of 435 for five-their highest-ever in the 50-over format. This achievement also marked the first time an Indian women's team surpassed the 400-run mark, joining the ranks of Australia and New Zealand.
Opening alongside Pratika Rawal, who scored her maiden century with 154 runs, the duo established a commanding 233-run partnership. Mandhana's leadership as stand-in captain was instrumental in this record-setting performance.
