What guidelines DDCA has issued for free access in Virat's Ranji Trophy match?

Delhi is all set to witness cricketing royalty as Virat Kohli returns to the domestic circuit after more than a decade! The Indian batting maestro will feature in Delhi's Ranji Trophy clash against Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday, and unsurprisingly, excitement is at an all-time high.

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced free entry for fans eager to watch Kohli in action. However, there are some important guidelines spectators must follow to gain access to the stadium.

Given the anticipated crowd of over 10,000 fans, DDCA has implemented strict entry regulations to ensure a smooth and safe experience. Here's what you need to keep in mind:

1. Aadhaar is Your Ticket – Fans must carry both the original and a photocopy of their Aadhaar card for entry. No other ID will be accepted.

2. Designated Gates for Entry – General spectators will be allowed to enter through Gates 16 and 17, while Gate 6 is reserved for DDCA members and special guests.

3. Exclusive Stand for Fans – The Gautam Gambhir Stand has been assigned for the public, offering a prime view of the match.

4. Be Prepared for Tight Security – DDCA has requested additional police forces and arranged for private security to ensure order and safety throughout the game.

DDCA Secretary Ashok Kumar Sharma summed up the excitement, stating, "This isn’' just another Ranji Trophy game, our Cheeku is playing! We’re expecting a huge turnout, and we've made all necessary arrangements to accommodate the fans."

The buzz surrounding this match is reminiscent of the recent Mumbai vs Jammu & Kashmir Ranji clash, where Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal's presence turned the fixture into a spectacle. With Kohli now stepping onto the domestic stage, Delhi is set for a similar electrifying atmosphere.
