In the 55th match of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Opting to bowl first, SRH's captain Pat Cummins delivered a stellar performance, claiming three wickets in the powerplay and contributing to DC's early collapse at 29/5.
Despite the initial setback, DC managed to post a total of 133/7 in their allotted 20 overs. This recovery was largely due to a resilient 66-run partnership between Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs for the seventh wicket. Both batsmen scored 41 runs, stabilizing the innings and providing a defendable target.
However, the match took an unexpected turn as heavy rain began during the innings break, delaying SRH's chase. The sudden downpour created challenging conditions, with puddles forming on the field and the super sopper deployed to dry the pitch.
