What a thriller at the IPL! Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pulled off a stunning 12-run win against Mumbai Indians (MI) in a match packed with drama, sixes, and last-over magic.
Batting first, RCB set a towering target of 221, putting MI under pressure from ball one. But the chase was on fire—Tilak Varma dazzled with a fearless 56* off 29, while Hardik Pandya’s explosive 42 off just 15 balls brought the crowd to its feet. Just when MI looked like they might pull off the impossible, RCB’s bowlers flipped the script.
Enter Krunal Pandya. He turned the final over into a spectacle, striking twice in two balls. Mitchell Santner was caught by Tim David first, and then Deepak Chahar fell to a mind-blowing fielding relay between Phil Salt and David right at the ropes—Krunal was suddenly on a hat-trick!
Josh Hazlewood had already built the pressure in the 19th over, conceding just nine runs and removing Hardik at the perfect moment. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also played his part, dismissing the dangerous Tilak in the 18th.
MI needed 28 runs from the last two overs—but RCB’s death bowling was clinical, and the wickets came just when they were needed.
In the end, RCB's strategy, nerve, and Krunal’s heroics sealed the deal. A match that had fans biting their nails turned into a statement win for Bangalore.
This wasn’t just a win. It was a message: RCB is here to fight till the last ball.
