Sir Viv Richards, Brian Lara back on the field to rescue West Indies cricket!

Following West Indies' humiliating 27-run second innings collapse against Australia - one run short of the all-time Test record low, WICB president Kishore Shallow announced plans to enlist Caribbean cricket greats for urgent assistance.

The team was swept 3-0 at home by Australia, continuing a dismal run with no Test series wins since defeating Zimbabwe in 2022-23. Since then, they've drawn three and lost five series.

Shallow has invited legendary batsmen Sir Viv Richards, Brian Lara, and Sir Clive Lloyd to join an emergency review meeting, alongside Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Desmond Haynes, and Ian Bradshaw.

"This engagement is not ceremonial," Shallow emphasized. "These are men who helped define our golden eras, and their perspectives will be invaluable as we shape the next phase of our cricket development."
