A serious FIR has been registered against Hasin Jahan, estranged wife of cricketer Mohammed Shami, and her daughter Arshi Jahan, following a violent altercation with their neighbour Dalia Khatun in Suri, Birbhum district, West Bengal. The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, erupted after Jahan began construction on land allegedly belonging to her daughter. When Dalia intervened, the confrontation turned physical.

The complaint filed by Dalia includes charges under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS): attempt to murder, assault, criminal conspiracy, and wrongful restraint among others. Dalia claimed she was hospitalized with head injuries after being beaten by Hasin and her daughter. 

Police have confirmed registration of the FIR and are conducting investigations; no arrests have been made yet. A mass petition from residents is also urging swift action.

The legal drama adds another layer to the ongoing, contentious divorce and alimony case between Shami and Jahan, which recently resulted in a Calcutta High Court order directing Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month - ₹1.5 lakh to Hasin and ₹2.5 lakh for their daughter Aaira.
