Meta unveils display Glasses with AI, Gesture wristband!

At its Connect 2025 conference, Meta introduced the new Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses priced at $799, launching in the U.S. on September 30. These glasses mark a milestone in wearable tech by integrating a full-color display in the right lens - capable of showing notifications, video calls, navigation, captioning and live AI-powered visuals.

A standout accessory is the neural wristband, which detects arm-nerve signals and supports gesture controls like swipes, taps, and a virtual d-pad for hands-free interaction. The glasses also have built-in cameras, speakers, microphone, and support voice and touch controls.

Alongside these, Meta upgraded its existing Ray-Ban models with enhanced battery life and camera performance, and launched the Oakley Meta Vanguard, aimed at athletes, offering fitness tracking integration with platforms like Garmin and Strava.

The reveal was not without glitches - some features failed during the live demo - but analysts view the devices as a key step toward Meta’s broader ambition of wearable AR and “superintelligence.”
