Meta Platforms has rolled out a dedicated version of WhatsApp specifically designed for Apple Watch users, allowing operations that go far beyond basic notifications. Previously, Apple Watch owners could only receive incoming message alerts from WhatsApp. With the new app, users can now view full conversations, send voice messages, react with emoji, and receive call notifications directly on their wrist.
The app works on Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 10 or higher, paired with an updated iPhone. Importantly, Meta confirms that end-to-end encryption continues to protect chats and calls even when processed through the watch. 

This move marks a significant enhancement in wearable device usability for one of the world’s largest messaging platforms, offering a more seamless, phone-free communication experience for Apple Watch users.
