India extends Airspace Closure for Pakistan Aircraft until October 24!

India has extended its airspace closure for Pakistan-registered aircraft and those operated, owned, or leased by Pakistani airlines and operators - including military flights - until 5:29 AM IST on October 24, 2025. This decision follows a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued on September 23, 2025.

The airspace closure is a reciprocal measure, with Pakistan having previously extended its own airspace ban on Indian aircraft until the same date. These restrictions have been in place since April 2025, following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, that resulted in the deaths of 26 people. The attack led to heightened tensions between the two nations, prompting the closure of their respective airspaces.

The ongoing airspace closures have disrupted international flight routes, with airlines rerouting flights to avoid the restricted airspaces. The situation remains fluid, and travelers are advised to stay informed about potential disruptions.
