HCLTech has signed a 10-year strategic partnership with Dunedin City Council (DCC) to modernize and manage the New Zealand city's IT services, driving digital transformation and better community engagement. The Indian IT services major announced the deal Thursday without disclosing financial details.

HCLTech will transform the council's IT services across cybersecurity, hybrid cloud, service management, IT asset management, and network services. The partnership will provide council staff with modern omnichannel tools, self-service capabilities, and responsive onsite support through AI platforms that automate routine tasks and provide 24/7 virtual support.

The collaboration supports DCC's five-year IT strategy and was established through a rigorous procurement process, aiming to set new standards for public sector innovation.
