Amit Shah hails ABVP's DUSU victory as Triumph of Nation first ideology!

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) registered a decisive victory in the 2025 Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, winning three of the four central posts - President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary. The Congress-backed National Students Union of India (NSUI) managed to secure the Vice-President’s position, while the Left-leaning AISA failed to win any seat.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated ABVP, calling the outcome a “victory of the Nation First ideology.” He said the results highlight how students are increasingly resonating with nationalistic and development-driven ideals.

The election saw around 39.45% turnout, with over 2.75 lakh students eligible to vote across multiple centres. While ABVP’s wins were by comfortable margins, NSUI’s Vice-President candidate Rahul Jhansla managed to edge through with a tighter contest.

The results are expected to shape future campus politics, while also carrying symbolic weight for national political narratives ahead of upcoming elections.
