Zara just made your old clothes valuable again…!

Fast fashion giant Zara is stepping into the secondhand market, and it’s a big shift. Known for rapid trends, the brand is now trying to extend the life of its clothes through a new “pre-owned” model.

The idea is simple: reduce waste and make fashion more circular. Clothes can now move through multiple life cycles instead of being worn once and discarded. The service is being rolled out globally through stores, apps, and online platforms, making it easy for users to participate.

But this move also raises questions. Can a fast fashion brand truly become sustainable while still producing large volumes of new clothes? Some see it as a step forward, while others call it a strategic shift to stay relevant.
