A new viral trend called “office air” is gaining attention online, with employees saying long hours inside offices leave them feeling exhausted, dull, and mentally drained. Many professionals complain about dry skin, headaches, tired eyes, low energy, and poor concentration after spending entire days in air-conditioned workspaces.
Experts say poor ventilation, harsh lighting, nonstop screen exposure, and lack of fresh air are major reasons behind this fatigue. Air conditioning can reduce moisture in the air, causing dehydration and skin irritation, while continuous laptop use may increase stress and mental exhaustion.
The trend has especially connected with young professionals dealing with burnout and hectic schedules. Many employees now believe workplace wellness should focus not only on productivity but also on healthier office environments and better work-life balance.
Doctors recommend staying hydrated, taking short outdoor breaks, stretching during work hours, and reducing screen time whenever possible to minimise the effects of “office air.”
