Tucked away in East Sikkim along the historic Silk Route, Zuluk is quickly becoming a favourite among solo travellers looking for silence, mountain views, and slow living. Far from crowded tourist spots, this small Himalayan village offers winding roads, dramatic landscapes, fresh mountain air, and an experience that feels untouched by city rush.
A short 3-day trip is enough to explore the beauty of the region on a budget. Most travellers begin from Gangtok or NJP and stay in cosy homestays run by local families. The journey includes scenic spots like Thambi View Point, Nathang Valley, Kupup Lake, and the famous zig-zag mountain roads of the Silk Route.
Budget travel here is surprisingly affordable. Shared cabs, local homestays, and simple meals can keep the total cost between ₹5,000–₹8,000 for 3 days. Many homestays also include meals, making the trip economical and comfortable.
