“They want to erase Tamil history” Stalin slams BJP

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has strongly criticised the BJP-led central government, accusing it of attempting to "bury" Tamil culture by suppressing scientific findings from the Keezhadi archaeological site. Stalin asserted that despite carbon-dated artefacts and AMS reports confirming a 2,500‑year‑old Tamil civilization, the Centre continues to demand “more proof” and promote an unsubstantiated Sarasvati‑civilisation narrative.

He lambasted the alleged sidelining of archaeologist Amarnath Ramakrishna—whose Keezhadi report was reportedly withheld after his transfer from excavation duties—and accused the Centre of wilfully distorting historical narratives. Stalin urged the Archaeological Survey of India to publish the report and called on DMK student groups to protest against the suppression of Tamil heritage.

In a series of pointed statements, Stalin accused the BJP–RSS "ecosystem" of recoiling from Tamil history and engaging in a cultural rewrite under the guise of scientific caution. “We fought for centuries to unearth our history. They fight every day to erase it,” he declared, warning that Tamils will not allow their past to be buried.
