“Joey doesn’t share food” - and turns out, he’s not alone. The iconic line from Friends perfectly describes some wild animals too. In the jungle, food means survival. And survival means zero sharing.
Take the Leopard. This solitary hunter drags its prey up trees to protect it from lions and hyenas. It can carry carcasses three times its body weight and will fiercely guard the kill for days.
Hyenas, despite living in clans, fight aggressively even among themselves while feeding. Competition is brutal.
Tigers and Crocodiles are equally possessive, often turning violent if another animal comes too close to their meal.
In extreme cases, some species may even harm their own young over food scarcity.
In the wild, sharing is rare. Instinct rules. And just like Joey, these animals make one thing clear - when it comes to food, it’s every creature for itself.
