India-China-Russia: A $54 trillion challenge to US power!

A new strategic alignment is taking shape between India, China, and Russia, fueled by Trump’s tariff moves and the changing global trade landscape. Analysts believe this “trinity” could emerge as a $54 trillion powerhouse, nearly one-third of global GDP (PPP).

The three nations bring complementary strengths: China’s manufacturing, Russia’s energy resources, and India’s services and vast consumer market. Together, they account for 20% of global exports, hold 38% of world foreign reserves, and represent the largest consumer base with 3.1 billion people.

Experts say the grouping is also tied to efforts to reduce over-dependence on the U.S. dollar, especially after sanctions on Russia pushed India and China to buy crude in local currencies. This realignment could reduce Western dominance in trade, finance, and even defence.

While challenges remain, the India–China–Russia partnership reflects a larger shift from a unipolar U.S.-led order to a multipolar world, with Eurasia at the heart of new trade flows and power balances.
