Founded in late 2023 by Ankit Acharya and Pranjal Nadhani, Cautio is a Bengaluru-based startup on a mission to make Indian roads safer using AI-enabled video telematics. Its custom dashcam hardware, paired with an AI-driven operating system, detects fatigue, harsh driving, and other risk behaviors in real time. This enables fleet operators to prevent incidents proactively, rather than react afterwards.
Cautio operates in over 35 cities (recent updates report expansion into 45+), delivering critical safety insights to mobility and logistics clients like Shoffr, Euro Cars, Namma Yatri, IITs, and Cityflo. Since inception, it has logged over 3 crore kilometers of safe travel and monitored more than 1.6 million trips, processing billions of location data points via its APIs.
Between mid-2024 and mid-2025, Cautio secured successive rounds of funding :-
- ₹6.5 crore in pre-seed from Antler, 8i Ventures, AU Small Finance Bank, early customers, and angels.
- ₹11 crore in seed funding, with backing from 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, Antler India, Infinyte Club, CARS24 founders, and MeitY (via PIEDS-BITS Pilani).
- A fresh round totalling $3 million (₹25+ crore), led by Amal Parikh and joined by existing backers 8i Ventures and AU Small Finance Bank, boosting their scale-up efforts.
Cautio’s vision extends beyond safety alerts it aims to transform driver behavior, elevate accountability, and lay the groundwork for autonomous mobility solutions tailored to India’s realities.
