The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar, renowned as Asia's largest tulip garden, is set to welcome visitors for its annual Tulip Festival in the spring of 2025.

Nestled at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range and overlooking the serene Dal Lake, this horticultural marvel spans approximately 30 hectares and showcases a vibrant tapestry of tulip varieties.

The 2025 festival is scheduled to commence on March 23rd, subject to favorable weather conditions. This year, the garden will feature an impressive display of 1.7 million tulip blooms, encompassing a diverse array of new and existing varieties.

The festival typically extends for about two weeks, with the peak bloom period occurring in the first half of April, offering visitors an immersive experience amidst the colorful blossoms.

In addition to the breathtaking tulip displays, the festival offers a range of cultural programs, local handicraft exhibitions, and traditional Kashmiri cuisine stalls, providing a holistic experience of the region's rich heritage.

The garden's strategic location also allows visitors to explore nearby attractions such as the historic Chashme Shahi Garden and the architectural marvel of Pari Mahal.

For the 2025 festival, entry fees have been set at Rs. 75 for adults and Rs. 30 for children below 12 years of age. Foreign nationals are required to pay an entry fee of Rs. 200.

The garden will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM during the festival period.

Visitors are encouraged to plan their trips during the early weeks of the festival to witness the tulips in full bloom. Given the popularity of the event, it is advisable to book accommodations in advance and consider weekdays for a more leisurely experience.
