In a press briefing Tuesday, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal addressed growing speculation around alleged nuclear leaks in Pakistan's Kirana Hills following India's Operation Sindoor. Brushing aside such claims, Jaiswal asserted, “Our military action was entirely within the conventional domain.”
He dismissed suggestions about U.S. or Egyptian aircraft involvement and emphasized that such matters were “for the Pakistani side to answer.” India, he said, would not give in to nuclear blackmail, reiterating that cross-border terrorism remains a red line.
The MEA also confirmed that Pakistan's major terror hubs in Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Muzaffarabad were destroyed, along with key airbases, prompting a dramatic shift in Pakistan's posture. After failed threats of a massive assault, Pakistan reached out to India on May 10 to negotiate a ceasefire.
India's position remained firm: no provocation means no escalation. Jaiswal urged media to examine satellite imagery for the real story.
