What even is pilates and why is everyone obsessed with it?

It started back in the 1920s with a guy named Joseph Pilates, who created it to help people recover from injuries. Over time, dancers, athletes, and even celebs like Madonna and Jennifer Aniston started doing it.

 

Now it's super trendy, with tons of styles like mat Pilates, reformer Pilates, and even HIIT Pilates (which mixes Pilates with cardio).

 

Why should you care? Because Pilates can help you feel stronger, stand taller, and even stress less. It’s great for all ages and fitness levels. You don't need any equipment to start, just a mat or soft surface.

 

There's no jumping, no crazy moves, and no pressure to be perfect. Just slow, controlled movements that help you connect with your body.

 

Whether you want to feel more flexible, fix back pain, or just try something new, Pilates might be your new favorite thing.
