This new taxi app could make daily travel less stressful!

India’s homegrown ride-hailing service Bharat Taxi has started its pilot operations in Delhi, onboarding over 51,000 drivers within a short span. The service is launched under a cooperative model, aiming to offer a fair alternative to existing cab aggregators.

Unlike private platforms that charge high commissions, Bharat Taxi follows a zero-commission structure, allowing drivers to keep 100% of their earnings. The initiative is designed to improve driver income, reduce dependency on middlemen, and bring transparency to ride pricing.

The app currently supports cars, autos, and bike taxis, with features like real-time tracking, transparent fares, and multilingual access. Both riders and drivers get customer support through the platform.

The Delhi pilot will help test operations, user response, and technical performance. Based on its success, Bharat Taxi plans to expand to other major cities across India.

With rising concerns over surge pricing and driver dissatisfaction on private apps, Bharat Taxi’s cooperative approach could reshape India’s urban mobility landscape if scaled successfully.
