Indra Raj Singh, a resident of Arthala village in Ghaziabad and head of the Hanuman Temple’s organizing committee, voiced his dissatisfaction with local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders. Singh accused them of arrogance and indifference, stating that their positions of power have fostered a dismissive attitude toward community concerns. "We approached everyone; they are not just unhelpful, but rude too," he remarked, highlighting the lack of accountability stemming from a weakened opposition.
Singh’s frustration centers on the stalled reconstruction of the village's Hanuman Temple, which was demolished due to land ownership disputes with the Ghaziabad Municipal Authority. Despite appeals for assistance, the project remains unresolved. Singh criticized the priorities of the leadership, questioning why grand initiatives like the Ram Temple could be completed while smaller community projects are overlooked. "The Ram Temple has been built… But what about our small neighbourhood temple for Hanumanji?" he asked.
The situation reflects broader concerns about local governance under the current political leadership. Singh described the confidence of BJP leaders as "ghamandi" (arrogant), arguing that their sense of entitlement and lack of opposition undermines democratic principles. His comments underscore the growing frustration among communities seeking better engagement and support from their representatives.
