The recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of at least 26 tourists and injuries to dozens more, has elicited strong condemnation from global leaders. The assault, carried out by militants opposed to India's control over Kashmir, marks one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in the region in recent years. 

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his deep condolences, stating, "Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost, and for the recovery of the injured." 

Russian President Vladimir Putin also conveyed his solidarity with India, condemning the attack and offering support in the fight against terrorism. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer posted on X, "The horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir today is utterly devastating. My thoughts are with those affected, their loved ones, and the people of India."

The international community, including leaders from Israel, UAE, France joined in denouncing the attack and reaffirming their support for India's efforts to combat terrorism. 

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, emphasizing the nation's resolve to counter terrorism.

The attack has raised concerns about the security situation in the region, especially given the recent increase in tourism and efforts to promote normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.
