Company Gifts ₹1.5 Crore Flats to Retain Skilled Workers!

In an eye-catching move to retain skilled employees and attract top talent, Zhejiang Guosheng Automotive Technology — a Chinese automotive components manufacturer — has announced that it will gift residential flats worth roughly ₹1.3 crore to ₹1.5 crore to selected staff who stay with the company long term.

The programme spans a three-year period during which 18 flats near the company’s base will be handed over to eligible employees. So far in 2025, five flats have already been awarded, including units given to staff who rose from entry-level roles to management. The homes are sized between 100 and 150 square metres and are located within about five kilometres of the company’s industrial campus, offering convenience alongside a meaningful benefit.

To qualify, employees must complete at least five years of service before ownership is transferred, and they typically sign an agreement to remain with the company for an additional period. After this tenure, ownership passes to them, with only renovation costs to be repaid.

The initiative reflects growing competition for experienced technical and managerial talent in manufacturing hubs, especially where housing costs and workforce mobility pose challenges. By tying property rewards to loyalty and performance, the company aims to foster long-term commitment, reduce turnover and strengthen its core team — a strategy that could prompt other firms to rethink traditional salary and bonus-led retention models.
